Karin Frey

Karin Frey

Karin Frey has been practicing yoga since her youth, when she was introduced to it by her teacher, Selvarajan Yesudian. After a variety of experiences with different yoga styles, she deepened her knowledge and skills during her four-year yoga teacher training, which she completed with a diploma from Yoga Schweiz YCH. She has been teaching weekly yoga classes, leading yoga retreats and yoga vacation courses for 10 years.

Her teaching is in the tradition of hatha yoga and is aimed at people of all ages. In terms of content, people are addressed in their entirety, i.e. their body, thoughts, feelings and soul. This is achieved through mindful physical practice, breathing and meditation exercises as well as joyful engagement with small inputs on yoga philosophy. The aims are to strengthen the life forces, the joy of life, invigoration and relaxation as well as to support the self-healing powers of the human being.

Yoga classes in particular, which are specially adapted to the needs of people with cancer, use a variety of approaches to help strengthen body, mind and soul and promote balance and joie de vivre. The focus is on dealing with stress and promoting health.
