In order for yoga to unfold its health-promoting effects, you should pay attention to a few points:
During and after yoga practice, there should be no pain, apart from some "aching" in the muscles when stretching or occasionally some muscle soreness after practice.
If new problems occur after a yoga practice or symptoms worsen, please inform your yoga teacher immediately.
If you are unsure whether participation in a yoga class is appropriate and safe for you, please consult your health care professional before your first participation.
