Martin Prätzlich

The psychologist Dr. Martin Prätzlich heads the meeting centre of the Basel Cancer League and, as an MBSR and yoga teacher, offers various courses for people affected by cancer and their relatives. Since 2009 he has been involved in research and practice with mindfulness and meditation and has participated in numerous meditation retreats worldwide. It is a great concern of his to make the value of this mind/heart training for our lives practically tangible. In addition to physical exercises (asanas), meditation and mindfulness elements from MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), he is passionate about teaching breathing exercises (pranayama), which have proven time and again to be very valuable and effective. Having grown up in a family of musicians, he likes to enliven his classes with singing, guitar or handpan. It is important to him to round off the classes with an exchange of experiences, which promotes the bond in the group and the integration into everyday life.
